Smoke in the air
tears in our eyes
heaven's on fire

There are many forest fires in California and around the western U.S.,
consequently our skies are filled with smoke.
Some days it is so bad I can't even see the mountains 5 miles away.

It has been a terrible fire season this year (summers seem to have disappeared), and knowing how the animals are suffering along with humanity makes it near-un bear able. May the rains come NOW to wash away the fires, smoke and tears. xo
Beautiful and oh so sad. My heart breaks for all the critters in a forest fire. I have all of them in my prayers and always in my heart.
