GARGOYLES THE STONECARVER... OMM's GARGOYLE CHALLENGE...

 In folklore,
Gargoyles
are thought to ward off harmful spirits,
 their wide open mouths
symbolic of devouring giants.
They were also thought to act as a reminder
of the hell that awaited anyone
who did not attend church.

Hahaha! You are the best Deann! You rock!
All is beautiful, powerful, clever and funny.
I especially love the pop of blue of the bird, this is the icing on the cake...
May I swap it please?
Thank you for this wonderful challenge my friend.
Hugs a plenty!

What a great take on the theme, Deann. I'm loving that oh-so-bright bluebird on the impish gargoyle. It makes a wondrous contrast to the ones below, although I can't imagine anyone being frightened about going to hell with that particular one in mind. ;-)
